What is the procedure like?

Breast lift surgery is typically performed as an outpatient procedure at a cosmetic surgery center. The surgeon will begin by making incisions to access the breast tissue. Then, the surgeon will relocate the nipple and areola to a higher position, remove excess skin and tissue, and close the incisions with sutures. The entire process takes just a couple of hours, depending on the amount of sagging and whether an implant is being inserted during the same procedure.

What is the recovery like?

After breast lift surgery, most patients experience bruising, swelling, numbness, and discomfort. You should be able to return to work and other daily activities in about a week, though swelling and bruising may persist for several weeks.
