Injectable Fillers: Non-Surgical Options at Our Wichita, Kansas Center
Botox Cosmetic™ and Dysport™ are extremely popular facial rejuvenation options at the practice of Dr. Matthew Conrad. Many patients enjoy the convenience and effectiveness of Botox and Dysport injections, which can be performed in about 20 minutes without downtime. The results of Botox Cosmetic and Dysport injections may last from 3-10 months, successfully reducing the appearance of dynamic facial lines and wrinkles by relaxing the underlying muscle for a refreshed, youthful and natural look. Botox and Dysport are primarily used in the frown lines between the eyebrows, forehead, chin, or the sides of the nose. Which areas would give you the best results is determined prior to treatment. Soft tissue fillers
Restylane-L, Perlane-L, Juvederm XC, Prevelle are all soft tissue fillers that have recently been made available with Lidocaine so the injection is much more comfortable. All of these soft tissue fillers can be used to safely enhance the size and shape of the lips for a youthful, attractive contour.
Restylane-L, Perlane-L, Juvederm XC, Prevelle and Radiesse can be used to increase volume and fullness in the skin, reducing the appearance of facial wrinkles, folds and scars. These popular treatments are typically performed in less than an hour, most patients return to work and normal activities the very same day. The results of soft tissue fillers are immediate and can last from six to twelve months before follow up treatments are required to maintain improvement.
Dr. Conrad also offers Sculptra. Sculptra injections are very effective correction of facial fat loss. Sculptra stimulates the reproduction of your body’s natural collagen to give your face the fullness it has lost with aging or weight loss. It normally takes two-three injections and four to six weeks to see results from Sculptra injections but the results generally last two years.
Preparation for injections:
It is recommended by Dr. Conrad to stop taking any medications that may cause blood thinner/bruising one week prior to your injection for best results. These medications include but are not limited to aspirin, ibuprofen, St. Johns Wort, and Vitamin E. Alcohol may also cause blood thinning and limited intake is recommended.
Botox® treatment for Hyperhidrosis (excessive underarm sweating):
Many clients have been very pleased with the decrease in sweating acheived after BOTOX® treatments to the axilla (underarms) for treatment of Hyperhidrosis. This treatment takes only a few minutes and lasts approxiamately 6 months. Come in and see if this treatment is right for you.
Acne Scar Correction Treatments
We have a few options available:
DOT laser treatment is effective for skin resurfacing and superficial correction of acne scaring.
Excision of “icepick” acne scar and closure with suture by Dr. Conrad is a treatment provided.
Injection of “rolling or boxcar” scars is another option.
Often times one patient has all 3 types of acne scars and may benefit from more than 1 treatment.
